Shorts and churches

I wear shorts in January. With oodles of warm layers. These photos were taken outside a very pretty XIXth-century church in my neighbourhood. I thought the limestone exterior, Romanesque portals and cast iron were the perfect background for this outfit. We have an appointment this weekend to look at this church as a potential location for our wedding ceremony and reception. We'll see...

  1. Wow! I thought the door itself was impressive. But the church is gorgeous! I hope you do have your wedding there. It looks beautiful! I love layering, and yours looks like a lot of fun with all the elements and textures, and colors!

  4. Ahh I love it Kat! I avoid wearing pants at the best of times, the idea of wearing shorts, stockings and boots never even occurred to me!

  6. Oh, you have competely inspired me to wear shorts and tights it the winter, you're proof that it can be done! (I think this is my very favorite out of all your outfits.) I love the slightly rugged and cozy vibe of this outfit, the thick tights with the socks and boots is so perfect! The color scheme for the whole outfit is really lovely as well, very earthy inspired and I just completely love your cap. :)

This church looks like it would be such a gorgeous spot of a wedding, it's so beautiful and you'd get some amazing wedding photographs out of it. ;)
