Trend trial run: Knee-high boots and socks

When warmer days are upon up, I'll be sorry to say goodbye to knee-high socks and boots and cosy layers. The top half of my outfit was inspired by Tinfoil Tiara's knotted top (ok, 1980s, you can take some credit too) and the bottom half, well, by half the blogosphere. Because I couldn't be bothered to shell out $6 for a new pair of funky knee-highs I dug out my ski socks to do the trick - worn scrunched-down in this outfit.

    So pretty- I love the floral blouse and how you tied it :) Knee highs are one of my favourite winter looks and hey these ski socks do the job just fine!

    kat, you're looking lovely as always! nice baby pink with grey combination. i DO like the leg warmer, knee sock, or ski sock, trend i'm seeing in the blogosphere. i don't own any. i'm worried they'll cut off the circulation in my legs.

    I love this look Kat! One thing I'm totally missing about winter is cosy winter fashion - I love being able to do the exact same thing with socks and boots, an awesome layering of shirts and feel both comfortable and fashionable. Here in Oz its all about what won't show the pit stains some days ;) TMI, I know!

    I've been doing the same thing - the knee socks with the boots. I love how easy and comfy it is, while still feeling cute! Love your knotted shirt, too:)

    I love the combination of knee-high socks and boots, and you've worn it beautifully (no matter where the socks came from!) Those jeans fit you so well, too - they really show of your long, long legs... Which, in case you can't tell, I'm just a bit envious of ;)
