The building N and I work in has no shortage of textured walls and interesting background elements, like this indoor tree. The problem is the lack of privacy. It's a bad place for bloggers. And people seeking to indulge in illicit office romances, come to think of it. As N was taking my pictures, I thought I'd ever so nonchalantly lean against the tree. A whole bunch of leaves came raining down, which caused everyone in the vicinity to turn in our direction. Awkward! I tried to camouflage myself but my Bordeaux-coloured tights and burnt orange cardigan didn't help my cause. If work is less busy next week and the warm(ish) weather holds up, I'm hoping we can get a few outdoor photos.

I have to say, I think it's incredibly brave that you take outfit photos where you work! I try to keep my blog and work as separate as possible, but maybe that's just me :) Personally, I love the combination of orange cardigan and bordeaux tights that got you noticed, they're really lovely.

You are so funny! When you want to be invisible, it never happens, especially in public. Your tree is a cute prop though :)
ReplyDeleteI absolutely adore this whole outfit! What a great idea using a sarong as a scarf. Heather
Colored tights are a fabulous way to 'fun' up an outfit! Love the color of yours. Looking for a similar color in a sweater tight (they're the only ones that don't itch me)!

love the fushia tights and the scarf detail, it makes the outfit pop, and you look purrrity :D
ReplyDeleteYou're very brave to take photos at work! Love those coloured tights & how the scarf has a bit of the same colour in it.
ReplyDeleteThis outfit is PERFECT!!! I wouldn't have thought to put those colors together (burnt orange & purple-ish) but I absolutely LOVE how they look - so much that I will have to try it in my closet!!! Love that the scarf ties it all in and the booties are cute too :) This one's a winner in my book!
ReplyDeletehaha! At least you didn't knock the tree over.. that would have been worse. I love the color of these tights! I have a sarong I wear as a scarf all the time too! -Rachel (Distinct.Style.Innovation)
